Insert Saving Throw Joke Here
There is every chance that you don't really care that E. Gary Gygax is dead. I, on the other hand, owe the big fella quite the debt. As the joint progenitor (with Dave Arneson) of Dungeons & Dragons, he spawned a hobby that influenced the leisure sector over decades, whether it be in online, offline or pen and paper gaming, in fiction writing, movies or more. I, personally, owe him for hundreds - thousands, even - of hours spent in other worlds, for funny stories shared with friends to this day, for many metres of bookshelf filled with rulebooks and sources, for a lot of the 92% in my uni course in classical history, and more.
Members on Monday nights are on notice that Delta Green is on hold: we'll be rolling up characters and entering The Keep On The Borderlands next session...
