Zizou in collaboration shocker!

Old habits die hard.  No sooner does a Frenchman let his country down with a violent act in Berlin than his compatriots are crying "collaborateur!":

"Heureusement qu'il y a eu la vidéo pour que la France se rende compte ! J'en viens même à me demander si tu n'as pas voulu torpiller ton match et sortir le ballon délibérément lors de ton penalty ? Pas de chance il est rentré !" (C. Benoit)

Seems slightly far-fetched to me, but then I don't shave womens' heads for drinking with Germans.  Well, not any more.

reminds me of a potentially apocryphal story from way back, when a German tourist approached a wee gadge in George Square in Glasgow to ask for directions, only to be told where to go in no uncertain terms. When the Bosch complained that this was not how they treated tourists in Germany, he was met with the retort "aye well, in Partick, we don't gas Jews".............nice.

Oh, we'll never let them forget. And re the Hawke testimonial, I can see me making that pilgrimage. Will check the dates with our pre-season friendlies etc...
